Small Business Advisory Session

Overview

Did you know that it is not enough to simply file your articles of incorporation to be considered a corporation? Are you aware of local, state and federal requirements for your industry or business? Small businesses face many important legal issues as they seek to succeed in the business world. Most small businesses fail to get sufficient legal support because the cost is often times too expensive. Many small businesses are uncertain about how much an attorney's bill will be when they charge by the hour, so too often they shy away from getting any legal support at all. Therefore, recognizing the needs of small business to get legal support without the high costs of extended retainers or hourly billing rates, Robert Rogers has established the Small Business Advisory Session service specifically to support small businesses. Generally, a small business will have quarterly Advisory Sessions where Robert Rogers will give guidance on the various topics below. This program allows small business owners the opportunity of consulting directly with a legal advisor to monitor and outline their business' legal situation.
Major Issue Areas:

  • Contracts
  • Government Compliance
  • Company Structuring
  • Marketing Plans
  • Organizational Goals
  • General Business Advising

What to Expect

In order to facilitate the effectiveness of the Small Business Advisory Session, the business owner(s) can expect a 15 minute phone conference prior to the Advisory Session to discuss the specific needs of the company and what information should be provided at and prior to the Advisory Session. The Advisory Session itself will last between 4-5 hours and can be held at Robert Rogers' office or your place of business at your convenience. The Advisory Session can all be held electronically if that is more convenient for your organization. A schedule of topics will be sent to the participants 24 hours prior to the Advisory Session so that all participants can be prepared to effectively address business and legal needs. Given the individualized nature of this service, the fee structure can be established during the initial phone conversation.

Mini-Advisory Sessions

Recognizing the varying needs of small business owners, Robert Rogers also offers Mini-Advisory Sessions where the small business owner will select 2-3 of the above issue areas and they will be discussed and planned in an Advisory Session of 1-2 hours. The format of the session will be as outlined above.
